You might be noticed that since the release of iOS 6 along with iPhone 5, beta versions of Apple’s latest firmware are getting released faster than as usual. As you all know, like iOS 5 came out with iPhone 4S, Apple released iOS 6 with the 5th generation iPhone quite a few months ago with some major changes like iOS maps and all. iOS 6 had some minor issues regarding the WiFi, Camera Flash etc. So Apple unveiled the updated version, iOS 6.0.1 on the first week of November and then followed by its first beta version, iOS 6.1 Beta 1. It’s the time now to experience the second beta version of iOS 6.0.1 and that too mainly for developers. Apple says that these quick beta releases are just to make the iOS 6 maps app far better that how it currently is.
Beta releases are mainly for developers to do some checks with their apps on the upcoming iOS features. The latest iOS 6.1 Beta 2 offers the developers to integrate iOS 6 maps apps on their 3rd party iOS apps and thereby to ensure that it will work smoothly once the next firmware version, possibly iOS 6.0.2, comes official. Apple gives the code number 10B5105c to the newest beta build of iOS 6.0.1. Tim Cook’s promise regarding a much improved maps application will hopefully come true in the upcoming iOS version.
iOS developer versions are not available for free to the normal users, they need to have an Apple developer account which costs $99/year to download iOS 6.1 Beta 2. You will benefit not only the beta releases but also other tools with that pack, but no need to go for it if you are not an iOS developer. Go to the link below to reach Apple’s developer site.
Since this site is all about iOS jailbreak (both untethered and tethered), a lot of users are asking about iOS 6 and iOS 6.0.1 untethered jailbreak. Currently there is no tool available to jailbreak iOS 6 and iOS 6.0.1 untethered, tethered jailbreak (only for A4 devices) is possible on both the versions using redsn0w. But some fake news are spreading all across Twitter and all that iOS 6 untethered jailbreak has already been released. Leave all those things, developers are trying hard to find exploits which help an untethered jailbreak possible on the latest releases such as iPhone 5, iPad Mini, iPad 4 etc. So better wait for it and stay with us via our Facebook and Twitter pages, may be an updated Absinthe version or a new tool, we will definitely keep you all updated about the newest iOS 6 jailbreak news.
